GYG calorie calculator: what is actually in your order?
Most of us look up GYG calories on the way to the counter, or after the burrito is already gone. This calculator is here to make that check quick. Pick what you normally order, change the rice, beans or cheese if you do, and the energy, protein, carbs, fat and sodium numbers move with you. It covers 245 items across 15 menu categories, all taken from the nutrition information Guzman y Gomez publishes.
It works as a GYG nutrition calculator, and as a GYG macro calculator if protein is the number you care about. Nothing you build is stored, so there is no sign-up and nothing to clear out afterwards.
How to use the GYG nutrition calculator
- Pick the item. Start with a category such as burritos, bowls, Cali burritos, minis or brekkie, then choose the filling.
- Change what you would change at the counter. Swap the rice or beans, take ingredients out, add extras, or switch between mild and spicy.
- Read the totals. Use whichever unit you are used to, Cal or kJ. Allergens for your build show up alongside the numbers.
- Add it to your tray. Handy if you are ordering for a few people. You can copy a summary or share a link that opens the same build.

GYG burrito calories and burrito bowl calories
A grilled chicken burrito is 769 Cal (3,220 kJ). Order the same filling as a bowl and you are at 655 Cal (2,740 kJ), which saves 114 Cal for a protein drop of only 4.5 g. That makes the chicken burrito bowl calories a good place to start if you are trimming. Every filling is listed under burritos and bowls.
Cali burrito and Caesar burrito calories
The Cali burrito is the heavy one, because the chipotle fries, sour cream and jalapeños all go inside. The grilled chicken version is 962 Cal (4,030 kJ). A grilled chicken Caesar burrito is 855 Cal (3,580 kJ), and if you combine the two, the Caesar Cali with grilled chicken is 1030 Cal (4,330 kJ). The rest are on the Cali burrito page.
Mini burrito calories
The mini grilled chicken burrito is 451 Cal (1,890 kJ) with 26.5 g of protein, which is well under the regular size at 769 Cal. The mini Caesar burrito is 502 Cal (2,100 kJ) and the mini Cali burrito is 607 Cal (2,540 kJ). Minis also come as bowls, enchiladas, nachos and nacho fries, all listed under minis.
Brekkie burrito and big brekkie burrito calories
The bacon brekkie burrito is 587 Cal (2,460 kJ). The big brekkie burrito with bacon adds another 387 Cal, landing at 974 Cal (4,080 kJ). The brekkie bowl is the lighter way to do breakfast: the bacon one is 427 Cal (1,790 kJ). See all breakfast items.
Quesadilla, enchilada, nachos and nacho fries
A grilled chicken quesadilla is 458 Cal (1,920 kJ), which keeps it under 500. An enchilada is a different story at 1150 Cal (4,790 kJ). Grilled chicken nachos are 1100 Cal and the nacho fries are 1010 Cal, so those are meals to share rather than a side.
Tacos, chips and Caesar salad
Tacos are the easy win. A soft flour chicken taco is 192 Cal and the $3 taco is 161 Cal. A plain bag of corn chips is 519 Cal, so it is worth counting. The grilled chicken Caesar salad is 579 Cal, or 317 Cal as a mini.
1120 kJ to calories, and other conversions
Australian menus list kilojoules, and plenty of people still count Calories. The maths is simple: divide kJ by 4.184 to get Calories, or multiply Calories by 4.184 to go the other way. The converter at the bottom of this section does it for you. A few GYG examples from the menu:
1,120 kJ to calories is about 268 Cal
That is the Large Sundae with Dulce de Leche, which GYG lists at 1,120 kJ and 268 Cal. A one Calorie gap between your maths and the menu is just rounding.

GYG macros: protein, carbs and fat
Calories only tell you how much energy is in a meal. If you are tracking macros, the same calculator shows protein, carbohydrates and fat for each build, plus sodium.
Where the protein is
The shredded beef brisket enchilada has 59.3 g of protein and the grilled chicken enchilada has 59.1 g of protein, the highest on the menu, but they cost 1180 Cal and 1150 Cal. Better value per Calorie is a taco or a bowl. The full list is on the high protein page.
When you want fewer calories
A soft flour chicken taco gives you 15.8 g of protein for 192 Cal. The grilled chicken bowl gives you 43.7 g of protein for 655 Cal. There are separate lists for meals under 500 Cal and low calorie picks.
Carbs, dietary needs and allergens
The bacon brekkie bowl has only 10.5 g of carbs with 30.8 g of protein. In the builder you can swap rice, beans and cheese and watch the carbs and fat change. The menu explorer filters for vegan, vegetarian and gluten friendly items, and the allergen matrix shows what contains milk, egg, gluten or soy. Salt is worth a look too: the GYG sodium page ranks the saltiest items, and sauces and dips shows what a sauce adds. Want it all in one table? The full nutrition table can be printed or saved as a PDF.
A note on the numbers
The figures here are Guzman y Gomez's own published values, last checked on 12 October 2026, and the meal builder adds or subtracts the published difference for each swap. A real order can come out a little different, so treat a total as a close guide. How it all works is on the methodology page, and allergy decisions belong with the restaurant, as the disclaimer explains.
