About the GYG calorie calculator
A small independent tool for people who like to know what is in their burrito before they order it.

About the author
Hi, I am Olivia Bennett. I built and maintain this calculator and write every guide on it. I check the figures against Guzman y Gomez's published nutrition information and update them when the menu changes.
Why it exists
A restaurant nutrition document lists each dish as it is built by default. Real orders rarely stay that way. You swap the rice, skip the sour cream, add double chicken, or turn a burrito into a bowl, and the totals change. Working that out by hand from a long document is slow, so this site does the adding up for you.
What you will find here
There are 245 menu entries across 15 categories. You can browse them on the menu page, build and tweak an order in the calculator, put two items side by side in compare, or look up the allergens on one page with the allergen matrix. Energy is shown in both Calories and kilojoules, because Australian menus use kilojoules and many people count Calories.
Where the data comes from
The figures come from Guzman y Gomez's published allergen, ingredient and nutrition information. We do not run our own lab tests and we do not guess at items that are not published. The methodology page explains how a custom build is calculated and why a number can be off by a little.
What it is not
It is not an official Guzman y Gomez product, and nobody at the restaurant checks what appears here. It is not medical advice, and it should never be your only source for an allergy decision. The disclaimer covers this in full.
How it treats your privacy
The calculator runs in your browser and does not save your orders, so there is nothing to sign up for. Details are in the privacy policy.
Help us keep it right
Menus change and typing errors happen. If something looks wrong, send us a note with the item name and what you expected to see. Corrections from people who actually order the food are the most valuable thing we get.
